| Rev. Robert J. Anderson | | Print | |
Pastor Anderson is in his 13 th year of ministry at Colonial Baptist Church. He has seen God’s hand throughout the ministry . . . . change so many lives . . . growing disciples . . . .
Pastor Anderson has been married to Jacqueline Sullivan for thirty years. Together they have four children: Shani, Robert III , Nia, and Jamila. Pastor Anderson is originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While being born on the banks of the Susquehanna River, he was “born again” by trusting Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at a revival meeting at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Steelton, Pennsylvania, on Friday, January 12, 1973. Several months after salvation, he attended Carver Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, and received a B.B.E. degree. He then attended Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1982. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate at Grace Theological Seminary. Pastor Anderson has been faithfully preaching the gospel for thirty-six years and shepherding the flock of God for twenty-eight years. During this time, Rev. Anderson has pastored in three different churches. He has seen many people saved under his ministries, and many lives changed for the glory of God. He has had the honor and awesome privilege of preaching throughout the country for conferences, revivals, and retreats. Pastor Anderson has also touched many lives preparing for Christian service through his teaching ministry at Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis, Indiana; Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clark Summit, Pennsylvania, and Faith Theological Seminary in Towson, Maryland. Pastor Anderson has served on trustee boards of Grand Rapids Baptist Theological and Cornerstone College and Grace Schools, in Winona Lake, Indiana. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Nevertheless, he finds his greatest fulfillment in pastoring in a local church. When he is not pastoring, he enjoys reading, sports, chess, spending time with his family, and fellowshipping with the saints of God. |
